This seems like common sense advice, right? You need to find your voice. That authentic, inner stuff that makes you, well, you. But how exactly do you do that?
Here comes the fun part… you have to work for it, usually really really hard. Finding your likes and dislikes, what makes you tick, what you’re good at, what you’re best at, how people perceive you, what are your own perceptions and all the other nitty-gritty aspects of your life. So there’s a lot of hours to be dealt with, actually.
And you know what? It’s the same for your business, or product, or service. Finding that authentic voice, the relevant and useful positioning implies a lot of research and trial & errors.
Enter content marketing 🙂 As the Content Marketing Institute says:
Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.
Good content marketing makes a person stop…read… think… behave… differently.
How’s that for an authentic voice? Finding that specific way of “talking” and influencing the others in the best possible way with what you create / offer / do. Because that is what good quality content does. And that’s why I believe in content marketing done right.
